Hi All!
I'm brand new (signed up after reading Robert's article "Doing Better". I've been looking for a clear path forward, and was delighted to find this in his article.
The only concern I have (and have had for some time) is if we create a new party, that may "split" our vote. In Oregon, all the "branches" of the Democratic Party (i.e. traditional, democratic socialist, communist, etc) are listed on our ballots under one "umbrella", the DP. Unless any new party we create is guaranteed to be grouped with "Republican" on the ballot, we will split our vote and not win.
Second, I would love to see a plan that outlines how to "recover elections systems in the states". Oregon has had mail-in voting for 20 years, and guess what? Everything out here is left, left, left!!! R's haven't won jack (and all the crazy ballot measures pass every time - what a mystery!!!)
Note: Oregon has been paying a company (can't find the name of the company) in Toronto for 20 years (see above); Toronto is the home of Dominion Voting Systems...
Look forward to communicating with you all.
Mary
